Other substances found in red wine include Resveratrol, which is a substance know to help increase the levels of HDL or good cholesterol, and various other antioxidant properties that assist in the prevention of blood clot and plaque formation with the arterial walls of the veins and arteries, as shown by medical studies.

Much research has been put into what benefits red wine gives, and the positive result are abundantly clear, but it must be emphasized that in order for us to make use of these benefits, we must also live a healthy lifestyle in order to complement all the benefits of drinking red wine. Having a body in generally good shape helps enhance the ability of our system to reap the red wine benefits a lot more efficiently and with more success.
