In basic fact DIABETES is the inability of the human body to process sugars properly. Whenever we consume food or drink our PANCREAS produces a hormone called INSULIN. Insulin is released into the blood and assists the regulation of the amount of sugar in the blood. Diabetes is a condition where this control does not operate as it should. This is due to one of two causes - No insulin being produced, often called type i, and requires the patient to use insulin injections, or secondly, Insulin is produced but the body becomes RESISTANT to it. This renders the insulin ineffective. This is normally referred type ii and is being diagnosed more frequently than ever.

You should not miss food in an attempt to bring diabetes under control. After food, the body will demand the pancreas to up the release of insulin and also the liver will close down making more sugar. If you miss meals, these signals are not received. When you have diabetes, these signals are not so pronounced. So, eating small amounts throughout the day is the trick to maintaining the insulin levels in balance and not spiking or dropping levels. If you avoid food, you body can become nervous, shaky, dizzy, light-headed, and you might start to have difficulty structured. This is known as hypoglycemia when your blood sugar levels greatly reduce.

Diabetes, whether it is type 1 or type 2 is a very dangerous condition and any diabetic definitely should be visiting a doctor on a regular basis. Your doctor will help you regulate your diabetes and will most likely suggest you see a dietitian. Food that will lower blood sugar is a very important part of the diabetic’s life. Diabetes cannot be completely regulated but, with a changes in the way you eat and live, diabetics can help manage it and live a long life with normal blood sugar level a routine achievement.
